A beautiful example of a Hemi supercharger
Here is a beautiful example of a Hemi Supercharger setup in a 1972 Plymouth Cuda. The car is featured on mopar muscle magazine and is a gutted and tubbed ’street’ car powered by a 6.1 liter Hemi engine. The nicest touch on the car is the use of a water to air intercooler to cool the inlet charge, which gives a shorter route between the supercharger and the engine. This aplifies throttle response because the air has less distance to travel between mashing the big pedal and reaching the combustion chamber.
The setup:
- Chrysler 6.1 liter Hemi
- Paxton supercharger @ 10psi of boost.
- Custom air to water intercooler setup.
- AEM engine management system with dual fuel maps (for pump gas and racing fuel).
- TTI Long tube headers
- 3″ Dual exhaust
- The 518 RWHP was produced with premium unleaded.
