Supercharger Tuning for your E-Classe Mercedes

Calrsson, the German tuner exclusive for Mercedes Benz high performance vehicles has announced it’s planned power packages for the 2010 W212 E class.
The new package includes a newly designed aerodynamics kit, the Carlsson C-Tuning suspension for computer controlled daming and a 43mm lower ride height.
Specifically for the E500, Carlsson is carrying over it’s CM50K supercharger kit (previously available for other 500 series such as the R500 and the CLK500).
According to Carlsson the CLK kit includes:
- A clutched roots style compressor packaged with an air to water intercooler and integrated intake manifold.
- Air is fed to the supercharger through redesigned Carlsson Air boxes fitted with Calrsson sport air filters.
- The water side of cooling package includes a heat exchanger, external waterpump, and reservoir and expansion tank.
- To support the added air flow more fuel supplied via upgraded injectors and a reprogrammed engine management system with removed top speed limiter.
- Furthermore, the back pressure on the engine is reduced thorough the using of an entire exhaust system complete with tubular headers, hgih flow catalytic converters, and a stainless steel muffler.
The result is that “the Mercedes 5.0-liter V8 is fitted with a Carlsson supercharger, developed with Ogura Clutch and licensed from Wankel, which nudges output to 430 horsepower and torque to 480 pound-feet.”
