Supercharger Performance and Engine Performance Parts

The Power Calculator

Hey there,

You’ve probably ended up on this page because you’re looking to increase the horsepower of your engine ?

You probably want to know how much horsepower you will gain by adding a supercharger to your car?

Most calculators will answer that question as follows:

Boost level Percentage increase in power
3 psi 20%
5 psi 34%
7 psi 47%
9 psi 61%
15 psi 100%

Of course the answer is a bit simplistic, as it completely disregards the supercharger efficiency, the presence of an intercooler system, or even the octane limitations of your setup such as what your engine’s compression ratio is.

Maybe you’re here because you want to go even further.

You have a supercharged car that you want to upgrade and are looking for the right sized intake, exhaust or throttle body to install on that car ?

Well here’s another simplistic answer…

Horsepower Single Exhaust
200 2.00″
300 2.64″
400 3.00″
500 3.46″

But what about intakes ? throttle bodies ? valves ? cams ? intercoolers ? header(s)? Spark plugs ?

What none of these calculators will do for you, is to give you a complete build-up for your car, targeting YOUR POWER goals.

The power guide details everything you need to know to upgrade the performance of your vehicle and contains: 57 pages on performance upgrades including:

  • Three stages of performance upgrades
  • Straight forward TO DO LIST and TO AVOID tips for each performance part
  • A complete section on tuning
  • A list of products and manufacturers that are considered the best of the best in the industry

How To Videos

In addition to all that is mentioned above, the power calculator comes with 5 how to videos explaining: 1- How to get the right data to input into the power calculator to get the right results. 2- How to use the power calculator to perform camshaft calculations for stock and modified cars. 3- How to calculate exhaust parameters for regular single or dual exhaust systems as well as for two into one exhausts. 4- Using the power calculator for timing corrections and extracting your timing trend (for faster tuning) 5- Calculating the dimensions of a 4-2-1 header for your I4 or V8 engine using the power calculator.

Seven reasons to buy this product today

  1. This product will save you money by letting you know exactly what to buy and what to avoid. You will no longer waste your money upgrading and replacing the SAME parts as you seek more and more power.
  2. This product will give you a complete ‘build up’ parts list. This helps you better plan your modifications in advance, and also helps you save even more money. When you know ahead of time all the exact parts that you need, you can take advantage of finding people selling their barely used parts, vendors offering seasonal discounts, and group buys on the forums to get the parts that you are SURE that you need at the Lowest Possible Price!
  3. This is the only comprehensive product that is Specifically Designed for Supercharged Cars. Other engine calculators are designed for ‘all motor’ buildups, so they will give you less accurate information.
  4. The ‘all motor’ engine calculators are more expensive than this product. So, they not only give you information that isn’t exact for your setup, they also charge you more to do so.
  5. Most people get their modification advice from online car forums. This advice isn’t necessarily specific for your application:
If one member on the forum for example had good results with a certain exhaust system at 300 horsepower, this does not mean that you will have the same results with that same exhaust for 500 horsepower (or for your target power level). The only way to pick the right parts for your application, for your RPM range, for your displacement, and for your boost level is to use a more scientific method such as using this calculator.
  6. If you own a performance shop or always have a lot of friends asking you about the right parts to upgrade their cars, then using this calculator allows you to give them very EXACT advice for their setup and easily identify undersized or restrictive factory parts, even if you are not previously familiar with their platform.
  7. If you purchase this product today, you are entitled to software updates from now forward.

Q1: What Would like to see included in the calculator:

A Recommended compression ratio with corresponding required fuel octane number
Recommended superchargers do not include twin screw type versions

    _____________________________________________________

    Our response:

The recommended compression ratio will be included soon (in the next revision of the calculator) as I already have the information required to include these calculations.

I have added Whipple and Lysholm superchargers to our database and have already emailed Kenne Bell and am waiting to see if they would be gracious enough to send me the specifications for their equipment.

Also received in a previous email:

Q2: Hello! I tried to purchase an account for performance calculator, but the Paypal
sent me a message that the payment is not possible to Saudi Arabia right now…
    What can we do?

    Our response:

This problem is now resolved, I have setup a new account with 2CO (2 checkout)

    2Checkout accepts payment from:

    Credit cards
    Paypal account holders
    & Other 2Checkout account holders

(Just click on the checkout button and on the next page choose weather you want to complete your payment with paypal, regular credit card, or a 2CO account)

All of these options are secure as you can see the https: in your address bar and the ‘pad lock’ encryption symbol depending on your browser version.

    _____________________________________________________

Q3: How do I setup my user and password ?

    Our response:

In the current version of the software, I setup your passwords manually. Once your payment has cleared and I receive notification in my email, I will contact you using the same email address that your paypal or 2checkout account is linked to.

In this email I will send you your downloadable link to the power guide and I will also ask you to send me your preferred user name and password.

  • It does more… what you’re looking at now is specs for version 2.3
Version 3.0 is ready I just need to ‘launch it’

Here’s a teaser from a few days ago (before I finished the illustration Tab and added the new Tuning Tab)…

New specs that are ready in 3.0:
1- It runs on GoogleWebToolkit which is a Javascript/HTML/CSS front end, which should be 100% mac and portable phone compatible…. no more problems with Java installs.
2- It gives you recommended Valve sizes, Camshaft Lift (for that size valve), Fuel feed and return line sizes, Ideal compression ratio recommendations (in addition to all the info in Version 2.3).
3- We have a whole new ‘tuning’ tab that gives you 10 RPM points.
You can enter your current horsepower readouts (from a dyno session), your current Air/Fuel ratio, and either use the built in recommended target air fuel ratios (or your desired target air fuel ratios) and it will give you back:

A- Fuel injection corrections at each RPM based on the current and target AFR (which makes tuning faster hopefully).
B- A timing ‘trend’ that doesn’t include exact timing numbers (that would be impossible without a lot of data modeling) but gives you a trend showing you where you relative timing so that you can verify that your timing ‘curve’ matches your engine’s volumetric effeciency curve (which is calculated from the data points you entered)….

    - Good luck on your builds guys…

  • hi also when will the new version 3.0 be ready for use to members.

  • can you add Ogura clutch to your data base (the SC12/TX12 and SC14/TX15 come on the stock 1st Gen
MR2 and the Toyota previa van respectively)

    http://www.oguraclutch.co.jp/english/e_products/sc/e_sc~type.html

  • Thanks for the link David, I’ll add them tomorrow!
